Lumpia, the delicious Filipino version of fried spring rolls. Call them whatever you’d like, just be sure to give them a try. They are crispy on the outside and filled with a tasty mixture of seasoned ground pork and veggies—so good!
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1
Prepare the peppers and onions according to package instructions. Allow to cool, then dice and place in a colander to drain. Set aside.
Step 2
Brown the ground pork in a large pan over medium heat. Drain fat and place in a large mixing bowl. Add peppers and onions, shredded cabbage, green onions, and dark soy. Mix well to combine.
Step 3
To make the egg wash, blend the beaten egg and water together in a small bowl. Set aside.
Step 4
To roll the lumpia, lay a wrapper on your workspace. Place 2 oz. pork mix onto one edge of a wrapper. Fold both sides in and roll. Brush egg wash on the last inch of wrapper to seal. Continue with remaining ingredients.
