Chocolate Soufflé Fries and Shake
Bringing in the Valentine’s Day crowd doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does have to be delicious and a little decadent. This trio is perfect!
Preparation Instructions:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Place butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and melt. Add in egg yolks, granulated sugar, vanilla and salt with combine with a hand mixer until smooth.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar and form stiff peaks. Fold the egg whites in with the chocolate mixture a little at a time. Gently mix them together until homogenous, being careful not to deflate the egg whites.
Step 4
Prepare 4 ramekins by coating with butter, then with sugar. Add the prepared batter to each ramekin and bake for 10-12 minutes or until soufflés have fully risen. Remove from oven.
Step 5
When soufflés are cooling, prepare fries according to package instructions.
Step 6
To serve, place soufflé in the middle of serving plate and surround with a nest of fries. Break soufflé open and garnish with powdered sugar and raspberry crumbles.
Step 7
For the shake, add soufflés to large blender with ice cream and milk. Blend until smooth and place in serving cup, garnish with raspberry crumbles.
