How To Keep Your Kitchen Smelling Great At All Times
16/6/2023
A clean-smelling kitchen is just as important as a clean kitchen. With a few simple tips, your kitchen will be as fresh and as sweet-smelling as a daisy.
Tip #1: Separate wet and dry waste
One of the simplest ways to keep your kitchen smelling good is to make sure that you empty your wet waste rubbish bin regularly. Leaving your wet waste in the dry waste rubbish bin is not such a great idea, as leftover food will end up rotting after a few days. This definitely won’t be pleasant if it is not disposed of properly.
Tip #2: Get rid of grease
An accumulation of grease around your cooker and stove is not only unhygienic, but also will cause a lingering, unpleasant smell after a while. Make sure that any grease is cleaned from your cooker – especially around the stove, which is likely to build up easily. To get a good finish, lift up the burners and clean using a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water after every use.
Tip #3: Wash sponges
Kitchen sponges that are overused will be more likely to kick up a stink and won’t do a very good job of cleaning your kitchen tools. So do make sure you wash them off and dry them after every use, as well as change them regularly.
Tip #4: Light a candle
A candle can do wonders to a space. Try lighting a candle with a fresh scent in the kitchen to create a calm, soothing ambience. However, do remember to put it out once you need to leave the kitchen.
