New Year, New Kitchen: Kitchen Organizing Tips
19/6/2023
Do you find yourself lost in your own kitchen at times? That might be because your kitchen is unorganized! Keep reading to find out how you should reorganize your kitchen so you can work more efficiently.
Set your workstation
Your ideal workstation should be nearer to the sink, fridge, and stove and allows you to move comfortably. You should store your most-used items such as prepping bowls, kitchen towels, and storage containers closer to it too.
Declutter your counters
Only place your most used items on the counter like your cutting board, small appliances, and pepper grinder. Store your utensils in the drawer or crocks near the stove, or use S hooks to hang them. The hooks can also be used to store your produce net bags and cookware.
Organize your drawers
Use drawer organizers to store your utensils, cutleries, and other kitchen tools. It will also help you avoid hoarding the drawers with miscellaneous, non-kitchen items.
Strategize your pantry
Your pantry should store most of your food items, and they should be arranged accordingly e.g. sauces and condiments together on one shelf, grains on another, and spices on another rack. This way, it’ll be easier for you to find what you need and avoid buying unnecessarily.
Improve your leftover storage
Investing in different sizes of storage containers can save you a lot of space in the fridge or pantry when you need to store smaller amounts of food. The best ones are stackable, BPA-free, and dishwasher-safe.
