GRILLED ITALIAN SAUSAGE & PEPPERS TOSCANA
Three Cheese Polenta pan-seared and topped with grilled italian sausage, roasted peppers, tomato basil marinara, and finished with mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
Sweet Italian Sausage Links, raw 24 oz
Olive Oil 1 fl oz
Fennel Bulb, thinly sliced 4 oz
RoastWorks® Peppers & Onions 12 oz
Marinara Sauce, prepared 24 oz
UpSides® Three Cheese Polenta Rounds, thawed 6 ea
Mozzarella Cheese, shredded 6 oz
Recipe Method
  • Grill the sausage links until cooked through.
  • Slice the sausages into ½” pieces and reserve.
  • Sauté the fennel in olive oil for 3 to 4 minutes or until tender.
  • Add the peppers & onions, continue cooking 2 minutes.
  • Add marinara and sausage. Continue to simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • For each serving, griddle one polenta cake according to the package directions.
  • Place the polenta on an oven-safe plate, top with 8 oz of sausage and 1 oz of cheese.
  • Place the plate in a hot oven or under the salamander until the cheese has melted and serve.
